Carving of Conception Dream
Published by MEZZANINE
Taegak is a book that records stories of prenatal dreams told by the elderly.
Since 2017, Moojin Brothers have been collecting prenatal dream stories from senior citizens in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul and Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do. The prenatal dream stories of the senior citizens themselves, and their children and grandchildren, are connected to various life journeys such as hometown, family, and current residence. The stories of the senior citizens are told through their words and drawings, and Moojin Brothers records them in seals and books.
The book, produced in the form of a box, contains a total of 33 postcards, stories of the elderly, and reviews. By matching the images of the dream seal and the stories of the elderly recorded in text, we can think about the social basis on which we interpret and talk about dreams.
